The Research Of Communication And Modeling Between Protection And Monitoring Device Based On IEC61850

IEC61850is an international standard, which is developed by the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission Technical Committee of the57th, used in substation communicationnetwork and system.the purpose of the standard is to resolve the problems of interoperabilitybetween different vendors substation Intelligent Electronic Devices. In order to achieve substationprimary equipment intelligent acquisition and secondary equipment transmit networkinformation.IEC61850provides a unified theoretical basis for the realization of intelligentsubstation.The devices in substation automation system are divided into three classes:station controllayer,spacer layer and process layer. This thesis studies the communication about protection&monitoring device,one apart is communication between the protection&monitoring device atspacer layer and the monitoring host at the station control layer, protection&monitoring deviceunderlying communication is mapped to the MMS. The other apart is the GOOSE communicationbetween the protection&monitoring devices, used for interval blocking signal which requireshigh real-time requirements.Firstly, the development of intelligent substation is introduced, arthitecture and informationmodel of IEC61850are described. According to the function of protection&monitoring deviceand practical application, information model of the protection&monitoring in the spacer layer ofsubstation is made. Secondly, the design of MMS communication between protection&monitoring device and monitoring host is given, based on GOOSE communication protocol stack,the communication among protection&monitoring devices is achieved. Thirdly a communicationsystem is build,this system contains one emulator IED Scout and the protection&monitoringdevice, MMS Ethereal is used to analyze the communication process through packets.
