Tension bearing as an important attachment of helicopter transmission system, its performance is directly related to a host of indicators of performance, service life and reliability. How to assess the performance of the tension bearing by test and bearing reliability of life is one of the important research directions in the bearing industry.In this paper, a tension bearing test-bench and the related experimental research is described. The special bearing test-bench can simulate the actual working condition of the bearing which mainly applied in tension bearing test of helicopter transmissions system. The performance of the tension bearings is proved and the reliability life of the tension bearings is estimated by the test-bench.Main working of papers as follows:(1) A test model of tension bearing which based on the theory of reliability life of rolling bearing and fully considered the tension bearing (test bearing) of the actual loading conditions is set up;(2) The general scheme of bearing test-bench based on the bearing test-model, and according to the actual condition of the tension bearing (such as speed, load, lubrication conditions and working environment) is established. In the design of the bearing test-bench first introduced into hydraulic drag scheme, the overall structure and installation, maintenance and other aspects problems of the test-bench are solved; Dual-source (with a realizable operating mode, such as one working and the other as backup, or both working), could improve the reliability of the test-bench, while reducing the energy consumption of equipment and increase equipment utilization;By optimizing the design of the overall structure and layout, the tension bearing test-bench poor universality and lubrication simulation of difficult problems are resolved;A set of special loading device which can simulate the loading conditions of tension bearing is designed. The loading problem of tension bearing test-bench two sets test bearing radial load bearing in different conditions of loading problem proportion is also solved;The mechanical system, the supporting system, electrical and testing system of the test-bench are particularly designed and optimized. And the function of each component, the principle and the main into accessories selection are illustrated.The2000h reliability life test of one model type of tension bearing has completed, the test results and the theoretical analysis results are in agreement. The design of test model, general scheme, special loading system, mechanical system, the supporting system, electrical and testing system of the test-bench are expected to reach design goal through the reliability life test.
