The structure of large crane is becoming more and more complicated. The operator of the crane is unable to locate the position of failure point and shorten the time repair takes. Plus, the working enviroment of the crane is extremely harsh. All these factors make maintaining the crane enquipment scientifically and turing passive repair into active maintain attracted more and more concern. Therefore, building the support system of crane has significant meaning for the reducing the cost of crane maintaince, completing the crane maintaince system and prolonging the life span of equipment.The crane repair and maintenance system this paper discussed is based on the control system of CAN-bus network of vehicle. By combinating the technology of CANopen and SAE J1939, integrated the intelligent in-vehicle terminal, controllers, sensors and other electionical control unit, it can sample, process and display the important working parameters of the crane in real time, such as oil pressure, engine cooling thermometer, engine speed indicator, voltages. The system can monitor the erroe code on the BUS and realized the interaction between the crane and remote service center by GPRS. Furthermore, the system could guiding the maintainer based on the protocol of construction machinery.This paper study the research and deploy status at home and abroad, described the key communication technology the system took in detail. By analysing the demand of the client, designed the general and software structure of the crane repair and maintenance system, then introduced the design flow of the main sofrware functional module. Completed the development of system and running the software test by VS2005and MFC. In the end, it proved the reliable of the system by running the experiments, the result of the expeiments shows that the system has met the expected demand.
