Aircraft assembly is different from general mechanical product assembly. It has complexstructure, strict requirements of the assembly precision and assembly process, the relationshipneed to coordinate is complex and other characteristics. The conventional assembly tools bothin efficiency and precision are difficult to meet the assembly requirements. Therefore, thestudy of flexible assembly technology is of great significance to the development ofmanufacturing technology for the entire aviation.This article carries on the analysis to the flexible assembly technology, analyzes its keytechnologies as well as the domestic and foreign development present situation. Using CATIAergonomic modules to simulate and analyze the movement of the flexible tooling platform,then familiar the tooling platform motion control requirements. Realization analysis ofvacuum suction and mechanical structure designing, improved the overall flexible toolingplatform. Analysis of principle of coordinate transformation of flexible tooling, gives atransformation matrix method for solving.Through the analysis of the campaign process, establishes flexible tooling platform basedon industry Ethernet and PLC control program. Finish the motion control hardware operatingplatform design, electrical circuit design and PLC input/output circuit design. Realize the PLCinternal register and soft relay distribution. This article completed the PLC program and uppercomputer visualization program writing, solved the coordinated maneuvering problembetween multi-motive axles, the issue of collision between moving parts, and finallycompleted the whole design of the flexible tooling platform control system.Build a preliminary flexible tooling test platform, Measurement and analysis the toolingplatform’s accuracy by using a telescopic arm coordinate measuring instrument.This paperverify the reliability of flexible tooling platform running accuracy, has a great significance forthe establishment of a complete flexible tooling platform.
