Because there were no existence of similar mass productionexperiences for the products in china, it brought us tremendousdifficulties to research and develop and trial-produce during the dualmass flywheel (hereafter referred to as “DMF”) developing process inJilin Dahua Machine Manufacture Co., Ltd. However, we have solved anumber of major technical difficulties through continuous practices andexploring, as well as continuous improvement and innovations. We notonly avoided the occurrence of conflicts to the patents related to similarproducts abroad but aslo avhieved many technical patents. As continuousinnovating for product design and technological design of DMF andcontinuous optimizing to assembly technology, Dahua has exploreddesign essentials of production line for DMF, and designed asemi-automatic production line which could meet multiple DMFproduction. And we also have been established the first semi-automaticproduction line for DMF in domestic after in-deep market surveys andthe investigations to equipments to be needed in many ways. All theseabove are the basis for mass production of DMF. Meanwhile, we haveprepared a standard of DMF bench test which approved by users,according to this test standard we developed DMF performance testbench, torsional resonance test bench, high energy consumption testbench, high-cycle fatigue test bench, spring fatigue test bench, dynomicvilbration test bench, and low-cycle fatigue test bench, all thses above could comprehensively verify the fatigue properties of DMF and enableDuhua to be the first enterprise who has capability to test complete DMF.We finally form this R&D achievement by utilizing the exsiting sourcesand continuous in-deep study.This document designs and optimizes the DMF key parts arc springon a base of matching a certain1.6L engine, gives a design andcalculation method for circumferential long arc spring of DMF, carrieson the selection and performance analysis to parameters of arc spring,and implements the simulated analysis to torsional behavior of this arcspring of DMF. It has further optimized the design of DMF arc spring,with actual test curve comparative analysis and completed the bench testand vehicle NVH testing to the DMF assembly which has adopted thisarc spring, finally, all the design parameters of DMF arc springdetermined. The emphasis is to form a set of design theory forcircumferential long arc spring to lay the foundation for DMF design anddevelopment. This document mainly in-deep study to:In-deep investigate and survey status of technological developmentto DMF in abroad and domestic and service condition in market etc;research and develope DMF in the way of school-enterprise cooperation,employing foreign DMF experts and cooperating with Belgium LMS innavigation; lay the foundation for next step product R&D afterdetermined the function of DMF in the entire power transmission systemwith in-depth knowledge of DMF typical structure and comparativeanalyzed to traditional clutch torsional vibration damper.Final determine the parameters of arc spring needed by researchgroup479Q engine with theoretical design for DMF arc spring and single-dimensional simulating optimization by using Amesim throughutilizing thedesign thought about traditional straight spring and durabilitytest on spring fatigue machine.Determine the optimal matching parameters by using Amesimsingle-dimensional simulation software to optimum match design threeinportant parameters concerning rotational inertia ratio of DMF, torsionalrigidity and basic damping.And verify NVH characteristic of DMF,designed by research group, meet the usage reqirements by vehicle NVHtesting after the sample trial-produced in according with optimizationresults.Work out a number of technology difficulties during the DMFsamples trial-producing, and verified by DMF dynomic vilbration test,torsional resonance test, spring fatigue test, high-cycle fatigue test,andlow-cycle fatigue test.
