The Design And Implementation Of Automobile-Supply-Chain-orientedEngine Traceability System

In the research background that the Internet of things rise gradually, the producttraceability plays an important role to defective car recalls and reduce automotive qualitycomplaints. Based on the technology architecture of the Internet of things, with automobileengine as the research object and EPC and RFID technology as the tool, this paper pursues astudy on the design and implementation of engine traceability system based on automobilesupply chain. The research has an important realistic meaning and practical value to thevehicle quality monitoring.Firstly, this paper elaborates the concept and function of the engine traceability system,based on this expression; it sums up the support technology of the traceability system.Secondly, this text define traceability，summarize the advantages and disadvantages ofexisting traceability models, put forward an idea which is converged traceability model.Combining with operation of the engine in the Automobile Supply Chain, focuses on therequirement analysis of Automobile engine, and establish the key traceability index system.Thirdly, this article design Automobile-Supply-Chain-oriented Engine Traceability System，provide the overall scheme which include structure and systemic level；then，in order tomake information traceability more convenient, it use the EPC to encode every engine withunique code; at the same time, the overall frame structure of traceability system’s database isrepresented by E-R diagram. Finally, this paper devises the engine traceability system basedon automobile supply chain with the programming language of VC and the database ofMicrosoft SQL Server2005under the platform of Microsoft Visual Studio2005. It showsthe different login interface for users who has different permissions, and the interface forcompetent authorities, enterprises information management, consumers’ query andcomplaints etc.This paper advanced a project of engine traceability system based on automobile supplychain and actualized information sharing between automobiles and their components. It hassignificant reference value to recall defective automobiles efficiently and to reduce thecomplaints of automobiles ‘quality.
