Concrete dam is an important type of dam in the water conservancy and hydroelectric projects, which has great investment scale, long construction period, many uncertain factors and a huge amount of concrete need to be placed. It is a large piece of work, time-consuming and uncertain to formulating construction scheme artificially. And the construction scheme need to be updated rapidly according to the real situation.The simulation is applied in construction of concrete dam to study the construction process and quantitatively analyze the construction and machine scheme by changing the parameters and scheme. And construction simulation can provide reliable basis for formulating construction scheme. Most of the researches on construction simulation of concrete dam create the model based on assuming that the main controlling elements of construction progress are the concrete mixing and transportation, and that the construction progress wouldn’t be influenced by concrete placing. The simulation system is a circulatory placing system which includes concrete mixing, transportation machine and selection strategy. However, few studies dedicate to the construction simulation of concrete placement. As the important part of the placing process with a plenty of uncertain factors, the research on simulating placement construction need to be improved. The construction system of roller compacted concrete dam, which contains concrete mixing, transportation and placing, is created in this thesis to make the simulation closer to the truly concrete placing process.The construction simulation of concrete dam is belong to discrete system simulation. Because that the construction process in simulation system created in this paper is complicated, that the construction progress is influenced by many factors, and that a lot of graphics and a large amount of space information is involved in the simulation. Using the object-oriented simulation technology can describe the mechanical operation and the logical relationship among machines and between machines and environment more truly and directly. Because the simulation software has the good processing ability of simulating the space movement and real-time output, which is suitable to solve the main problem of placement construction simulation, the simulation software’"Anylogic" is chosen to create the construction model. In order to analyze the influencing factors of construction progress of concrete placement, the different placement construction scheme is simulated, the kinds of machines’utilization rate and the average placing intensity of roller compacted concrete in each plan are compared, and the main elements which impact on placing intensity is analyzed. It’s concluded that the construction progress is affected by the size of placement surface, the width of strip, the area of placing grout and the number of machines. The placing intensity by statistics is low at the beginning and the end of placing, and is higher in the middle of the placing period.Compared with the model without placement construction, the regulation of placing intensity change,which is simulated by the construction model of flat-spread concrete placement in roller compacted concrete dam created in this paper, is much closer to the practical projects. And the accuracy of the construction simulation is improved. By analyzing the influencing factors of placing construction progress, the simulation can provide reliable basis to planning the placement surface and strip construction scheme and optimize the allocation of resources.
