Evaluation Of China’s Port Efficiency Based On CCR-MPI Model

Port is the basic element of international trade in this century. In the chain of international trade, port is the direct connection node for different countries and regions. With the increasing development of today’s world trade in the world, people become stricter to port in the world. The development of the port directly affects the development of trade between different countries and regions. What’s more, it plays an important role on national and regional economic relatively. Therefore, how to enhance the efficiency of the port is one of the most urgent problems of the country. So based on this point, the paper discuss the efficiency of ports in China and give some useful recommendations to increase the efficiency of port in our country.The paper discusses the port efficiency from three aspects and two points. Three aspects mean port’s technical efficiency, scale efficiency and efficiency of technology progress. The technical efficiency of the port is the element efficiency of the port based on current equipment conditions. The scale efficiency means the efficiency of port is affected by the scale of port. The efficiency of technology progress means some significant technology can make a big difference of the port and promote the port efficiency. Two points means the horizontal points and the vertical points of port. From the horizon point, the paper explores the efficiency of port in our country at the same time. From the vertical point, the paper discuses how the institutional reform happen in our country affects the efficiency of port in a period of time.According to the horizon and vertical compare, this paper gives some micro and macro suggestions to promote the efficiency of port. It can provide some references to management departments of port.
