Study On Simulation Technology For Powertrain Of Electric Vehicle

In recent years, the consequent shortage of oil resources and environmental pollution problems have become increasingly prominent, it is urgent to exploit the vehicle with new energy, and electric vehicle is getting more and more attention due to its high efficiency and low emissions.Computer simulation technology plays an increasingly important role in research of the electric vehicle. It can provide performance prediction for electric vehicle in initial research stage, and optimize the performance and control strategy in the succeeding stage. Computer simulation technology could lower the time and cost in the research of electric vehicle.In order to solve the heavy workload and inefficiency in design of the electric vehicle, a simulation model with Visual Operating Interface was established, which is based on MATLAB/Simulink. Based on this model, we could realize the selection of transmission system and the performance simulation of electric vehicle with the help of ADVISOR, and the model was validated through a pure electric vehicle. A complete electric vehicle simulation model was built, including a range-extender module, based on this model, the control strategy and performance of range-extended electric vehicle was simulated, and a range-extended electric vehicle with a low power range-extender was designed, which could increase range to some extend. A battery model was built and verified through experimental data, which could simulate the variety of battery capacity and internal resistance before and after the battery are aged. In order to meet the needs of electric vehicle simulation, a model of road conditions for Jinan city was built.
