A Tentative Study On The Improvement Of Urban And Rural Planning Information Service System In Taicang

Currently the driving force behind urban and rural planning informatization comesmainly from the technical requirements of administrative planning department.Therefore, informatization research nowadays on urban and rural planning emphasis onpure theory of information technology. Urban and rural planning informatization indomestic cities should seek greater range, higher level of economic and social benefits,starting from the public policy, public participatory and dynamic synergies of planning.From the perspective of new theoretical system of the public management, this articlehad a logical starting point for the widespread problem of current informatization in thefield of planning. Based on an overview of background in the field of planning andinformation technology development, this article defined the concept of the urban andrural planning information service system, summarized the domestic and foreignresearch status and results, and made the theoretical perspectives of the study path clear.Then a full investigation and analysis into the construction, management, operation ofTaicang urban and rural planning information service system were conducted. And froma practical level, this article made a summary of good practices and successfulexperiences of domestic planning information service system. Finally, after anexplicitation of positioning and target framework of information service system ofurban and rural planning in Taicang, this article gave improvement suggestion fromthree aspects: the organizational guarantee, institutional mechanisms, technologyroadmap and so on.
