Modern retailing is developing in scale and chain. Of all elements of retailing logistics infrastructure network, distribution centers which bridges between supply spots and demanding ones are playing a more and more crucial role. Retailing characters in fast pricing change, frequent orders and wide range of distribution, therefore an accurate swift response to corresponding logistics distribution is accordingly needed. However traditional storage facilities and distribution mode can’t meet the need of modern retailing development. Consequently based on logistics rationalization and the market demand, distribution centers evolve into fundamental logistics junctions, the location of which not only affect the expenses of enterprise logistics and services but the whole logistics network structure and scale as well even the future layout of the terminal stores. Scientific location is the essential foundation of modernization of retailing logistics distribution no matter for the entire national retailing development or enterprise logistics network planning.With full consideration of the relevant domestic and overseas retailing logistics distribution theories, this text analyzes the retailing development tendency in our country and the contribution that the proper selection of the logistics distribution centers could make to the enterprise competitive advantages. The article also connects the typical some large-scale retailing chain group running conditions and development planning analyzing all the factors which might have influence on the center selection and mapping out evaluation system and finally the research method-AHP and of course the feasibility proven by examples.During the process of center selection, this text introduces the alternative items from the DS Group, qualitatively analyzes and compares in social, economical and environmental aspects. After the preparation, then the quantitative comparison, next get the best plan and eventually the conclusion and prospect.
