The marine shafting is an important part of marine power plant which is the only host power passer to make sure normal navigation of the ship assembled parts and an essential part to check the actual bearing load of the intermediate bearings and main bearing within the allowed range of theoretical calculation or not by using effective testing method during shaft design, alignment calculation, shafting installation and adjustment. A complete set of bearing load testing software should be developed for the domestic frequent problems in shafting alignment becoming one of the most important tasks that need to be solved.The marine shaft testing is an important basis for ship shafting alignment throughout the construction, testing and sea trials. The perfect shaft load test system can be used to make sure the shafting run under reasonable security by marine shafting periodic measurements. With the measurement for a real ship, the correctness of alignment theoretical calculations or not has been verified by the result.Development process of marine shafting bearing load measurements software is introduced in this paper. Date calculation methods, load measurement methods, hardware component and program development is explained. With the measurement dates by jacking method and resistance strain gage method. Intermediate bearing load and stand location and bearing load distribution of tail bearing can be calculated. The marine shafting load measurement system consist of computers, hydraulic jacks, pressure sensors, dial gauge, resistance strain gages, strain measurement instrument can instantly display measurement date, write the data into database for extraction and application in the future. With measurement and calculation for a real ship, compared with foreign measurement software, it is shown that the system has a good reliability and validity for loading test of the marine shafting system to solve domestic engineering problem.
