| The study of ice area navigation safety has been the focus of maritime research. For our country, this research is of practical significance because of the large ice-area of the Bohai Sea in winter.But there are some awkward circumstances of the ships navigating in domestic routes. Firstly, ships would be banned in the north of Qingdao area if the hull is not ice-strengthened; Secondly, designers have to delete the ice stability calculation if the hull is not ice-strengthened, otherwise it would be considered non-conformant of the hull drawing. Therefore, here comes a range of issues such as ships navigating in the Bohai sea in winter must be ice-strengthened, ship certification must be marked "No navigation in Bohai sea in winter, and if not, ship-owners would face the risk of ship arresting. But infact, there are considerable numbers of ships navigating in the sea area. Therefore, it is necessary to study the structure safety of these ships.Main research contents:1) Preliminary investigations of the Bohai ice area.2) Introduction of the research progress and fundamental state of ice-load calculation, and some main kind of ice-load calculation model; calculation of the ice-load of an82000DWT bulk carrier.3) Hull finite element structures strength calculation on a basis of contrastive analysis and the structure safety on the base of results.4) Calculation of the stress concentration of some reference points in the ship hull which can be used for the fatigue strength assessment according to the specification. |
