| As the core area of political,economic,cultural,and other social activities in early urban development,the old urban area generally faces structural problems,such as functional and structural imbalance,inconvenient transportation,lack of public space,and the improvement of people’s living standards.With urban development constantly evolving,transformation and reconstruction have gradually become China’s new urban development situation.The traditional development of the "incremental planning model" also shifts to the "stock update model."As the rail transit construction steps into rapid development in our country in recent years,the subway becomes the primary choice for the public.The contraction between rail transport and existing buildings is development,design,and control while it also brings new development opportunities for old city renewal.In this case,how to take advantage of the opportunity of rail transit into the construction of the ancient city and explore the urban design methods suitable for the surrounding areas of rail transit stations in the old city is the main topic of this paper.Based on field investigation around the old quarter,the interpretation of literature research and normative,and worldwide case study,this paper summarizes the critical problems of the construction in old city rail transit and the main principle of related urban design.Then this paper extracts the old city rail development work on the premise of the basis of "four key content of the urban design.To meet the preconditions of land reconditioning,clear development rights,and economic balance under the benefit of renewal,this paper focuses on these four design strategies,including development intensity control,land function allocation,traffic element design,and space environment creation.In the dimension of development intensity control,the main control principles and space operation methods of floor area ratio control and building density control are put forward.In the dimension of functional allocation of land use,mixed land-use orientation and public service orientation are proposed to deal with the problems of old urban areas.The configuration of business forms should meet the content requirements of public service facilities,commercial service facilities,exchange service facilities,and characteristic resources.In the dimension of traffic element design,traffic network adjustment,pedestrian system design,traffic connection network,and parking facilities should be considered as a whole.In the dimension of architectural space,it is vital to consider the context of the surroundings and the public space when designing the layout of architectural space,the continuation of environmental style,and the public space,so that the urban space environment can meet the growing needs of people for a better life.Combined with the practice project named "Urban Design of the Surrounding Area of Hefei Rail Transit Line 6 and Line 8 Huizhou Avenue Station",this paper focuses on the four dimensions of land development control,land use function allocation,traffic element design,and building space creation,from the compilation of urban design results to the guidance of corresponding unit control planning and approval procedures.This paper explores the urban design method and design idea guidance applicable to the construction of urban rail transit in the old city under the guidance of TOD theory.It is hoped that the research of this paper will provide a reference for the same type of urban design in the future development of domestic rail transit construction. |
