In recent years, the enrollment scale in our country become more and more stability. With the University City and new campus construction tide receded, the collegeconstruction gradually entered a rational development period. Based on the constructionof the colleges and universities, this thesis proposes the composite building mode thatefficiently, compactly and orderly through the various functions with limited landresources of campus. On the one hand, because the contradiction of City Land IntensiveUtilization and campus development, leading to the campus toward high densitydevelopment, breaking the campus traditional functional area with the organic renewal, the new building combined with different function. On the other hand, influenced by thedevelopment of disciplines, students’ diversified needs of the society, school and otherfactors, the different departments, professional department of organic compound, orsocial functions into the campus buildings. In the face of the above phenomenon, thecampus review, put forward the concept of composite design--the integration of variousfunctions in a building, in order to save the land, resource sharing, subject the purpose ofexchange. The first chapter of this paper put forward the concept of the university buildingcomplex design, the composite of university construction research background, theresearch significance, the research scope and the research framework of basic data andthe research achievements of the development process; In the second chapter, the analysisof college building from the angle of history, the composite trend of building constructionin Colleges and universities by development of university; The third chapter,I want toconstruct the composite design of the theory, according to the theoretical basis to putforward design principles; The fourth chapter with examples, through three aspects ofcomposite space functional space layout mode, traffic organization mode and typical ofthe architecture of the integrated design strategy; Finally, the fifth chapter introduced twoengineering practices—The Books and Experiment Building in Youth Political Collegeand the Comprehensive Teaching Building in China Institute of Industrial Relations.
