With the development of social economy in recent years,the importance of science and technology has become more and more prominent,but the isolation and introverted limitations of the subject buildings scattered in traditional universities hinder the further development of college subjects.While emphasizing innovation and deepening,colleges and universities are increasingly emphasizing the integration of disciplines and resource sharing,combining disciplines with cross-attributes to form a discipline chain and an industrial chain,in order to integrate and complement each other.In this context,the corresponding architectural design model also needs to change,from closed,independent to open,converged,from a single subject building to a clustered subject group.This design is a comprehensive building for life sciences at Jiangbei Campus of Nanjing Agricultural University.It will help core disciplines further develop and accelerate Nanjing Agricultural University’s step into China’s leading and world-class agricultural university.In the face of homogeneous and generalized buildings such as the experimental building of the subject group,modular design characterized by standardization and strong adaptability is an effective design method.Modular design ensures the order of the space organization and the logic of the architectural form.When faced with different design environments,it can achieve the coordination between the building and the environment with concise design logic,and fully demonstrate it under the rational design logic.The building’s own personality.This article will focus on the modular design method in the experimental building of subject groups,and provide a theoretical basis for architectural practice.This article is divided into two parts,the first one is a practice-based design research report,and the next one is a design achievement.There are four chapters in the last chapter: Chapter 1 is the introduction,which mainly introduces the project background,research content and research methods;Chapter 2 is the design method research,firstly introduces the research on the discipline group architecture,and then analyzes its development direction and related Advantages,focusing on the modular design method in the discipline group building,studying the application and advantages of modular design in such buildings,and finally researching and explaining its design method,summarizing the design ideas and main points,and providing theoretical support for the deepening of subsequent projects;The third chapter is case analysis,which selects two college subject group experimental building cases for analysis and research,verifies the design strategy of modular design,and learns from the design tactics to benefit the subsequent project practice;Chapter four is the project design part,introducing The design process of the life science comprehensive building includes the project background,campus planning,etc.It conducts research and analysis on the facade,function,space,etc.around the modular design to clarify the architectural design strategy.The next part is the display of design achievements,including design logic,design process and technical drawings.The whole thesis contains about 25500 words,103 pictures and charts.
