With the implementation of the proposed energy strategy of the12th Five-Year Plan and the National Environmental Protection Agency of the heavy vehicles of standard, SCR technology has become one of the best technical routes which automotive diesel engines in our country meet national IV and V emission standards.Urea Dosing System is a key component of the SCR system; it plays a key role in injection quantitative urea matching with bus exhaust nitrogen oxides effectively. In order to help today’s bus companies to solve the problems of the urea pump maintenance and performance testing, we have designed a UDS test system about bus exhaust after-treatment which is based on SCR technology.The main purpose of the test system is to test whether the performance of the UDS can satisfy with the standards. Through researching statistical regularities of the test data, we provide a reference for future automotive control technology applications in the field of gas treatment.Combined with control strategies and programs, the paper mainly starts from the theory of SCR technology, namely using configuration software and ARM control board to design and control in real time the man-machine interface and to build the UDS on SCR technology testing platform to operate the UDS. By means of debugging the equipment and processing data analysis, we can validate criteria about the UDS injection performance, meanwhile, this system can have the function of fault diagnosis and printing. The test platform has debugged many times, running in good condition, basically meeting the design requirements.In this paper, the design of the test system has completed the performance testing of the UDS, and achieved the fault diagnosis and the preliminary election of SCR pump, and saves SCR maintenance cost. Meanwhile, it provides security for bus-board installed using SCR system. It has a significant practical meaning for the realization of energy saving and emission reduction targets in cars.
