Bactrocera(Tetradacus) minax (Enderlein) is one kind of destructive quarantine pest, belonging to the national quarantine objects and second class pests which are prohibited from entering. It brings great harm to the products of the citrus. This text,based on the biological features of the Bactrocera(Tetradacus) minax(Enderlein) in different stages, generally sums up the law of its occurrence and its harm, studies the methods of control. The four stages consisits of:adult,egg,larva and pupa. It sums up the rules of its occurrence and harm. Bactrocera(Tetradacus) minax(Enderlein) happens once a year, with the start of eclosion in early May after the long winter,the peak time of eclosion in the middle of May to early June, then comes the peak time for eggs until the late July, then for the larva. In the middle of September, the damaged fruits begin to fall and reach its peak time until the middle of October, finally the lavra grows into pupa. Referring to the preventative methods, it includes the agricultural, chemical and physical ways. It also analyzes the features in its pupation and eclosion stages. And the experiment focuses on the analyses of the effects of the soil mechanical combination and moisture content on its pupation and eclosion. It mimics the natural conditions in different periods, different types of fruit abscissions have various rates of progress about their larva pupation. The experiment results show that the highest eclosion rate appears when the moisture content of soil reaches20%.The pupation varies to the different kinds of Bactrocera(Tetradacus) minax(Enderlein),with the necessary medium in the process. And the size also matters. It also studies whether the pupation medium influences the pupation, as well as the effects of the size of the pest and whether to feed the citrus or not. And specifically, it studies on the effects of the feeding towards the pupation rate and schedule and concludes the results in the form of graphics and statistics. The temperature and light peoriods have less influence over the pupation rate than the pupation development. The results show us directly and clearly the biological features of Bactrocera(Tetradacus) minax(Enderlein) and its occurrence laws in order to lessen its harm and improve the prevention effects. Meanwhile, it helps to raise the production of the citrus, benefits the healthy development of the citrus industry and improves its sustainable development.
