Study On The Tobacco Quality In Main Flue-cured Tobacco Growing Areas Of Shaanxi

To evaluate accurately ecological adaptability and tobacco quality of the main flue-cured tobacco region in Shaanxi and provide basis for construction of tobacco base and regional breed layout. The chemical composition, physical properties and sensory quality of six main regions for three years were analyzed. According to the existing domestic flue-cured tobacco quality evaluation system to make comprehensive evaluation. The results were as follows:1) From south to north, main flue-cured tobacco growing areas of Shaanxi could be divided into three ecotypes:southern shaanxi(SS),central Shaanxi(CS) and northern Shaanxi(NS),for which SS was suitable flue-cured tobacco area, CS was sub-suitable area, while Yulin of NS belong to unsuitable area.2) As for physical characteristics of tobacco leaves, three years’mean thickness was between0.078to0.102mm, close to that of nationwide, while tobacco leaves’stem ratio of Ankang(AK), Hanzhong(HZ) and Baoji(BJ) were0.5～1.5%higher than that of nationwide. The cultivars Qinyan96hold slightly thick leaf when plant in xian-wei region(XW), as for those of Shangluo(SL) and BJ, better physical characteristics were gotten.3) As for chemical compositions of Shaanxi tobacco leaves, reducing sugar content was lower than that of nationwide average(TNA), Potassium chlorine ratio was over4, while Sugar alkali ratio was11～15except that of YA, which was over than17. Nicotine contents of SL, YA and XW were close to TNA, but those of AK, HZ and BJ were lower than TNA. For the Chlorine content, tobacco leaves held the lowest, and average value of0.11%in HZ.4) Both tobacco leaves of XW and YA are intermediate flavor, while those of AK, HZ. SL and BJ are mainly intermediate flavor, part of SL is intermediate to dense flavor, part of BJ hold dense flavor.
