This paper mainly studied on quality characteristics of Flu-cured tobacco in ChuXiong different tobacco-growing areas, and analysed on reasons of larger difference between total sugar and reducing sugar, and searched ways and means to solve this problem from agronomy, chemistry, technology, biology. By means of regulations of the chemical composition of tobacco, this paper explored key technologies in decreasing the difference between reducing sugar and total sugar of Flu-cured tobacco in ChuXiong from the aspect of the main cultivation techniques, management techniques, fertilization and baking modulation techniques, to raise the ratio of reducing sugar to total sugar and intrinsic quality of Chuxiong Flu-cured tobacco. Detailed results are as follows:Medium, high nitrogen in LuFeng county tobacco growing areas, and low, medium nitrogen in others were of advantage to total sugar and reducing sugar’s accumulation, and could increase the ratio of reducing sugar to total sugar. Adding certain organic fertilizer can heighten the ratio of reducing sugar to total sugar, and can decrease the difference between of reducing sugar and total sugar. At the same time, adding KCl application can raise the contents of total sugar and reducing sugar, and can optimize the chemical composition of tobacco.By researching the impact of different maturity on the contents of reducing sugar and total sugar, the results were shown that lower leaves should be harvested about6days, middle leaves in18days, and upper leaves in53to63days after the capping, to raise the ratio of reducing sugar to total sugar of tobacco, and the differences between of reducing sugar and total sugar are in line with requirements of high-quality tobacco production. Meanwhile, by researching the impact of different planting densities and remained leaves number on tobacco quality, the results were shown that overall quality of treatment combination in the densities of15000per hm2, and remained leaves number of20were best in NC297.By researching the impact of the different yellowing temperature on the contents of reducing sugar and total sugar in tobacco leaves, the results were shown that the ratio of reducing sugar to total sugar Flu-cured tobacco leaves decreased as the yellowing temperature increases. The ratio of reducing sugar to total sugar in upper and middle tobacco leaves of treat1, were highest. The yellowing temperature of Treat1, were of advantage to transform total sugar into reducing sugar. Treat1represent that the yellowing temperature is31℃~33℃, wet and dry bulb temperature difference is1~2℃, and at a speed of1℃/h, heating to40℃, transfer to color fixed period, after90%of the tobacco leaves yellowing, wet and dry bulb temperature difference is10℃.By researching the impact of60CO-γ ray radiation on decreasing the difference between reducing sugar and total sugar, the results were shown that the contents of total sugar and reducing sugar of tobacco leaves by60CO-y ray radiation were increased to varying degree with the alcoholization time. The contents of total sugar and reducing sugar of tobacco leaves using6KGY and8KGY radiation treat, had the largest increase extent among them.
