Agriculture plays an important role in China’s national economy, but it is backward in our country for lack of the information. The information agriculture will be a development tendency of the agriculture modernization., with the rapid development of Internet, The supervisors and farmers are sharing a platform rich in information.The agricultural geography information system based on Internet and by means of the Web and GIS provides the supervisors and farmers with a shared info window for agriculture, it promotes the infonnatization processes in agricultural management and production. The Fu Yang quality of cultivated land query and fertilization consultation system based on WebGIS is developed by using WebGIS technology in this paper, the use of this system can not only contribute to evaluating and managing the situation of the quality of cultivated land, but also helping farmers to plant suitable crops according to the fertility of their own soil and select a appropriate way to fertilize. On the one hand, the system can strongly push forward the development of agricultural informatization, on the other hand, it can make agricultural production head for a way which is scientific and efficient and modern.Before the beginning of developping the system, firstly, this paper analysizes the fundamental of WebGIS, next, makes the thematic maps according to the vector data and raster data of Fu Yang, and then pulishes the maps and services by the ArcGIS Server, finally adds related functionality to the system in accordance with demand analysis. Flex Builder4.5serves as the development environment, and the ActionScript3.0is used as a programming language, and ArcGIS Server9.3is used for publishing and managing the services.The system includes the following features:(1)Using the popular RIA technologyUsing the RIA technology makes the user interface richer and response time of service faster and deployment cost cheaper.(2)Using the Map Cache and MapTileThis technology can relieve the pressure of the server and improve speed of panning around the map.(3)Using Flex Builder as integrated development environment Software released by Flex Builder is based on Flash Player, which makes the system better cross-platform ability.(4)The fertilization plan is close to realityThe fertilization plan is close to reality and has some promoting values because it was researched for long time and had passed through the practice.
