1. In order to control weeds safely and efficiently, the quadrat survey procedure was used to investigate weed species and their distribution in oats fields in Wuchuan County of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The results indicated that there were27species belonging to22genera.13families, which include broadleaves weeds (25species) accounted for92.59%, the grass family weed (2species) for7.41%. The main weeds were Setaria viridis (L.) Beauv., Chenopodium album Linn., Agriophyllum squarrosum (L.) Moq., Salsola collina Pall., Herba Sonchi Brachyoti. The weed species in the no-tillage field were more than that in convention tillage filed. The weeds in the no-tillage without mulch field were more serious than in the no-tillage with mulch field.2. The efficacy tests of19herbicides were studied to control the weed in the oats field. The results indicated that Acetochlor and Clodinafop-propargyl were harmful to the oats, the others were security. Prometryn, Pendimethalin, cyhalofop-butyl, and Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl were efficient to gramineous weeds. Pendimethalin, Tribenuron, and Liqing were efficient to broadleaves weeds.3. The effect of herbicides to control the weed in different tillage oat field were studied. The results indicated that in different tillage oat field, Tribenuron, Fluroxypyr, MCPA+Bromoxynil, and MCPA were security to the oats. In the convention tillage and no-tillage mulch fields, Liqing was efficient to control gramineous weeds and broadleaves weeds, Tribenuron and MCPA were efficient to control broadleaves weeds. In the no-tillage without mulch field, Fluroxypyr was efficient to control gramineous weeds; Tribenuron, Liqing, and MCPA were efficient to control broadleaves weeds.4. The effect of different dose and application time of herbicides was used. The results indicated that the control effect of weeds related to the Species of herbicide, dose, and application time. As the dose of herbicides increased, the control effect of the weeds was enhanced. Compared to the moderate dose, the control effect of the high doses was not obvious. Consideration to the ecological benefits and economic benefits, the moderate dose was recommended in production. Spraying after10d of oat emergence.the control effect of weeds was better than spraying after emergence1Od.5. The effect of different herbicides combinations was also studied. The results indicated that the combination by750g/hm2Liqing and225g/hm" Quinclorac had best control effect to the quantity of weeds, when the combination by11.25g/hm2Ttibenuron and225g/hm2Quinclorac had best control effect to the weight of weeds. In the second place, there were the combinations by9g/hm2Ttibenuron and300g/hm2Quinclorac,600g/hm2Liqing and300g/hm2Quinclorac,450g/hm2MCPA-Na and112.5g/hm2Bispyribac-sodium also had better control effect to the weeds of oat field.
