The study of Hunan Eremochloa ophiuroides stem segment rapid propagation were conducted with method of broadcast sowing stem segment. The excellent stems were from the Eremochloa ophiuroides germplasm nursery of Central South University of Forestry and Technology. The experiments were assigned in random plot to study the influence of the Hunan Eremochloa ophiuroides in field production soil substrates through different soil substrates or different varieties and different concentrations of rooting agents. The results of the study showed as following:1.The best variety of the Eremochloa ophiuroides in germplasm nursery is E5, which is from Fanshenyuan village Dingzi town Wangcheng county Changsha city Hunan province.2. Physical and chemical properties of the four kinds of soil substrates have significant difference. The pH is between5.05~6.71, the partial acid substrates,The total N, total P, total K and the organic carbon contents and soil bulk density conforms to the basic requirement for growth Eremochloa ophiuroides.Hunan Eremochloa ophiuroides can grow in the four kinds of substrates.3.When rooting agents are the same, field soil, coarse sand,50%field soil+50%organic matter,50%coarse sand+50%organic matter were used as four substrates to broadcast the stems. The result shows that the50%field soil+50%organic matter is the best substrate. Using this substrate, the Eremochloa ophiuroides has the highest survival rate, the shortest rooting time, the shortest tillering time, the Fastest coverage changes, the shortest grown up grass time, the best morphological characteristics, the most biomass accumulation, the best Eremochloa ophiuroides’ quality and application properties.4. When substrates are the same, three different rooting agents are ABT2, NAA, IBA. The different concentrations accordingly are30ug/ml,60ug/ml,90ug/ml. The results show that the ABT2in concentration of60ug/ml, or the IBA in concentration of90ug/ml, the E. ophiuroides has the shortest rooting time, and the survival rate is the highest,no obvious difference between the two rooting agent concentrations.5. Through the analysis of the final result, there is so little difference between different rooting agents and different concentrations. But the difference is large between the rooting agents and the running water. That is to say, rooting agents are needed in Eremochloa ophiuroides stem segment rapid propagation.6.Using the50%field soil+50%organic matter substrate, and using the ABT2in concentration of60ug/ml, or the IBA in concentration of90ug/ml, the Hunan Eremochloa ophiuroides stem segment rapid propagation can produce for the second time in one year and the coverage of E. ophiuroides in the third time can reach more than60%, but the grass was failed to grow up. In other words, Hunan E. ophiuroides stem segment rapid propagation can produce two times a year under the natural conditions of Hunan province.
