The tea plantation is usually built in remote mountainous areas,which is disadvantage for managing tea tree and learning its daily growing environment. In order to effectively detect environment parameter of tea plantation,this paper designs a set of solar wireless monitoring system to monitor environment parameter which is based on wireless sensor network and GPRS. The main research contents including as following:(1)The hardware design for wireless monitoring system of tea plantation. It consists of five main modules which is solar power supply,SCM control, sensor data collection and processing,ZigBee wireless sensor network,GPRS wireless data transmission. The data acquisition and processing module is the core part of the system,which is mainly collecting and processing atmospheric temperature态humidity of soil and illumination intensity data by terminal nodes,then data will be packaged to the master node coordinator by wireless sensor network,and finally conducted by GPRS wireless data transmission module and PC.(2)The software design for wireless monitoring system of the tea plantation. The software is compiled and debugged C language by IAR7.51A and KEIL C51,which mainly including ZigBee wireless networking,environment parameters collection and processing,wireless data transmission, TCP network communications, charging and discharging control for12V20AH Lead-acid battery and implementation MPPT.(3)Software design for center monitoring system of host computer.Using LabVIEW8.20development environment to design the human-machine interface of host computer monitoring center,establishing the database by file input and output functions of LabVIEW to storage and access garden environment parameters daily and monthly,so that the growth environment for tea tree can be continuous monitored.(4)Site testing and operation for system. One of tea plantation in Southwest University processed the site test.The terminal system can accurately collect environment data of tea garden, each terminal node to collect the data then send to the coordinator by ZigBee wireless sensor network,finally through the GPRS wireless communications transmitted to PC,PC monitoring software carries out real time monitoring atmospheric temperature, humidity,light intensity and other environmental parameters for tea plantation. Solar controller can realize the intelligent management of battery charge and discharge. The test shows that the system is running steady,and also can realize wireless automatical monitoring for tea plantation environment parameters.
