In recent years,in our country and the world, the morbidity and mortality ofcardiovascular disease induced by atherosclerosis are the highest among all the diseases. It’sthe fundamental measures to prevent these serious fatal disease by early detecting of arterialstructural and functional lesions and interferencing timely and effectively. As the“goldstandard diagnosis”,selective angiography can only judge the lesions indirectly based on therelative lumens diameter. And it’s.traumatogenic to the body,so it has somelimitation.E-tracking is a new ultrasound technique applicated in the clinic recently.Studieshave shown that the early changes of atherosclerosis are arterial elasticity reduced、stiffnessincreased and compliance, decreased.By detecting the expansion degree of arterial vessel, combined with the blood pressure,ET can directly evaluate the vascular flexibility and analyzethe arterial sclerosis quantitatively. From adopting E-tracking technology to trace the arterial wall motion trajectory, accountthe arterial systolic diameter (Ds), diastolic diameter (Dd), pressure-strain elasticmodulus(Eρ), stiffness index(β) and its arterial compliance (AC), the study aim to evaluatethe scleratheroma level in atherosclerotic rabbitsvalue, and to investigate the value of newly E一Tracking technique in the quantitative evaluation of carotid elasticity. Objective: to evaluate the artery elasticity of abdominal aorta in Simvastatinintervention rabbits with atherosclerosis by echo-tracking technique. To approachexperimental evidence for the studying of new technique and clinical applications. of newdrug and clinical applications.Methods:18New Zealand rabbits were divided into3groups randomly:normalgroup(bred by ordinary animal feeds)、control group(established atherosclerosis model byfemoral artery angioplasty)and Simvastahn group. The stiffness of abdominal aorta of everyrabbit was evaluated by Echo-Tracking at the end of the study.Results:1,The differences about the Eρ、β、AI、PWVβ、AC among the normal group andthe control group were significance(P<0.05).The were significance differences in AC、AIbetween Simvastahn group and the normol group(P<0.05)。To compare the Simvastahngroup and the control group, the differences in Eρ、β、AI、PWVβwere statistical significance (P<0.05,but AC was not.Compared with other parmeters,Eρ、βand PWVβwere moresignificant(P<0.01).2.Correlation analysis:PWVβcorrelated negatively with Eρ、βandAI.Correlation was significant at the0.05level; Correlation between Eρ、βand PWVβ wassignificant at the0.01level. Although AC was decreased when Eρ、β、AI、PWVβwereincreased, but the correlation was not significant(P>0.05).differences in AC、AI betweenSimvastahn group and the normol group(P<0.05)。Conclusion:1.The changes of the artery elastic indexes can reflect the pathological changesaccurately. It may be helpful to prevent and diagnose atherosclerosis and other great arteriesdisease.2.ET can evaluat the curative effect of drugs, and provide important information onprognosis and turnover.
