Objective The papillary thyroid carcinoma is one fo the most common type of the thyroid tumors, although the characteristic of tumor papillary arrangement, ground-glass nuclei, nuclear ditch and intranuclear cytoplasmic inclusions were the important value of diagnosis, but it appear the cases of difficult diagnosis of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and thyroid papillary hyperplasia in clinical work, this became the difficulties of the current diagnosis. In this study.we investigate diagnostic significance by detect the expression of CK19> CD56and p53protein in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and thyroid papillary hyperplasia. Methods The expression of CK19, CD56and p53protein was detected in52cases of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and31of thyroid papillary hyperplasia by immunohistochemical methods. Results The positive rate of CK19expression was100%in52cases of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and29.0%in31of thyroid papillary hyperplasia. There was significant difference between two groups (P<0.001). The positive expression CK56was2cases in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and mild positive expression, and20cases in thyroid papillary hyperplasia. There was significant difference between two groups (P<0.001). The positive expression rate of p53was69.2%in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and2cases in thyroid papillary hyperplasia. There was significant difference between two groups(P<0.001).Conclusion CK19, CD56and p53can be an important adjunct for differential diagnosis of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma from thyroid papillary hyperplasia, and were combined detection will further prove the accuracy of diagnosis.
