A Clinical Study On The Comparative Treatment Of Menopausal Syndrome With Herbal Pieces、Dispensing Granules And Livial

BackgroundMenopausal syndrome in postmenopausal women before and after the recession as a result of ovarian function, or reduce the emergence of sex hormone fluctuations caused by a series of mainly autonomic dysfunction, such as menstrual disorders,hot and sweating, irritability, dizziness, tinnitus, palpitations, insomnia, facefloating. These symptoms are often last several months or several years, also can affect the life and work. the treatment of menopausal syndrome in TCM is on to the internal organs, the eight principles of dialectical-based treatment, in order to achieve the goal of yin and yang. Tonify the Kidney and soothe the liver is one of the common way. Hormone replacement therapy is the mainly treatment in west. But the carcinogenic keeps the people away. Clinical observation indicates that Chinese medicine treatment of Menopausal Syndrome with significant features and advantages of the Chinese Herbal Pieces.But it is inconvenience toearry, sueh as taking the inconvenience short comings, not inconformity with the rhythm of modern life, not meet the requirements with people. The study of comparative treatment of menopausal syndrome with Chinese herbal pieces and dispensing granules is an importance of research.Object iveThe research is that Chinese Herbal Pieces and Dispensing Granules treat menopausal syndrome, to observe the efficacy and the security of Dispensing Granules, so as to further the possibility of Dispensing Granules whether can alternative Herbal Pieces and to provide a basis for Menopausal Syndrome treatment to provide a new dosage form.MethodUsing randomized controlled trial, we observed90out-patients with Menopausal Syndrome in aberrance with the WM standard diagnosis and TCM Shen Xu Gan Yu in department of Gynecology in Guangdong TCM Hospital from Nov.2009to Mar.2011.Aeeording to Randomized table divide the patients to the trial groups with Dispensing Granule, Herbal Pieces, and control group with Livial, the treatment consists4weeks. To evaluate the Kupermann Index (KI)、 Menopause Rating Scale,before the rapy and4weeks after therapy each, and safety evaluation, and record the harmful incident.Result1. KI score,4weeks after therapy three groups all has significant difference with the one before therapy(p<0.01), and no notable statistics difference between groups(p>0.05). The result has the excellence rate of86.3%in Dispensing Granule group,93.3%in Herbal Pieces group,83.3%in control group, and no notable statistics difference between groups (P>0.05).2. Menopause Rating Scale score,4weeks after therapy three groups all has significant difference with the one before therapy(p<0.01), and no notable statistics difference between groups(P>0.05).Conclusion1. The Dispensing Granules could improve the menopausal syndrome in patients with somatic symptoms and psychological symptoms were significantly improved, but to alleviate the physical symptoms fistly, then the psychological symptoms be improved.2. The Dispensing Granules easy to use,effieacy and safety of herbal pieces.It can be used extensively as new dosage form as herbal pieces.
