Objective: To investigate the expression levels of Intercellular adhensionmolecule-1,P-selectin and E-selectin in different Traditional ChineseMedicine(TCM)syndrome types in patients with deep vein thrombosis(DVT), we explorethe relationship between cell adhesion molecules(CAM) and DVT, and it is a beneficialsupplement of the objective indicators basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods:70patients with DVT were divided into two groups according to the syndromedifferentiation type of TCM respectively. Based on the type of TCM, it was divided intothe syndrome of pathogenic dampness-heat(A), the syndrome of blood stasis anddampness(B),20health people as control. All patients and healths were detected bloodserum levels of ICAM-1, P-selectin, E-selectin by immunoturbidimetry. Results: Theserum levels of ICAM-1,P-selectin in acute phase were higher significantly than those ofthe control(P<0.01).The serum levels of ICAM-1in group B were higher than groupA(P<0.01).The serum levels of P-selectin in group A were higher than B(P<0.05). Theserum levels of E-selectin in group A were higher significantly than group B and the groupC(P<0.01). The serum levels of E-selectin in group B and C,there was no significentdifference(P>0.05).Conclusions: CAM,that induce the adhesion between white blood cellsand endothelial cell, participate in the process of thrombosis and is relevent to TCMsyndrome. It can be as one of the objective indexes in the syndrome type of TCM.
