| Objective: To explore the curative effect of Ti-Ni shapememory alloy embrac-ing fixator for treatment of fracture of multiple ribs. Methods: From March2006to December2011in our hospital,103cases of rib fracture were selected,54cas-es of rib plate in the surgical treatment as group A,49cases of conservative trea-tment as group B, the clinical treatment conditions of two groups were compared.Results: The excellent and good rate of group A was significantly higher than thegroup B, the difference was statistically significant between two groups(P＜0.05);Independent activities under the bed time, chest lead tube withhold time, the chestpain duration, mechanical ventilation time fracture healing time, and lung functionrecovery of group A were better than the group B, and the length of time was le-ss than the group B, the difference was statistically significant between two groups(P＜0.05); the complication (pulmonary infection, atelectasis, thoracic deformity. etc)rate of group A was significantly lower than the group B, the difference was stati-stically significant between two groups(P＜0.05). Conclusion: The surgery of mult-iple rib fracture through memory alloy embracing fixator has the advantages of s-mall wound, easy operation and fewer complications, so it is worth to promote. |
