OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of Safflower Yellow injection in treating coronary heart disease angina pectoris with heart blood stasis syndrome.METHODS:We conducted a multi-center,open,self-controlled case-series study of40patients.All of them suffered coronary heart disease angina pectoris with heart blood stasis syndrome. We treated them with Safflower Yellow injection(SYI) by intravenous dripping once a day for14days. To observe the efficacy indicators (angina symptoms, ECG changes)and safety indicators (blood, urine, stool routine, liver function, kidney function)before and after their treatment. And then,. The data were analyzed using the SPSS16.0statistical software with the paired-samples T test.RESULTS:SYI can ease symptoms of patients with angina pectoris(Heart Blood Stasis Syndrome)(P<0.05).It can reduce the attack frequency, the duration, and pain intensity. The total effective rate of angina symptoms and ECG efficacy were82.10%and61.50%. And we found no significant differences in the safety indicators before and after treatment (P>0.05).CONCLUSION:SYI will be considered an effective and safe treatment for patients with angina pectoris(Heart Blood Stasis Syndrome).
