| Objective: To detect the expression and significance of suppressor of cytokinesignaling3(SOCS3), IL-10and TNF-α in the placenta of pregnant women withintrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP). Methods:37ICP gravidas who deliveredthrough cesarean section at the First Teaching Hospital of Xingjiang Medical Universityfrom October2010to May2011were selected as the ICP group, and another35healthypregnant women were chosen as control. Placentas of the above gravidas were collectedand SOCS3, TNF-α, IL-10proteins were detected by immunoblotting and Envisionimmunohistochemical method respectively. Results:1)TNF-α, IL-10were expressed inplacentas of both groups mainly in the intra cytoplasma of trophoeyte. In the ICP group, the expression of IL-10was obviously lower than control, meanwhile the expression ofTNF-α was obviously higher than control (z=-2.63, P<0.01);2) SOCS3protein wassignificantly more abundant in the placenta of control than in the placenta of ICP group;3) Furthermore, placental SOCS3and IL-10were positively correlated (r=0.494, P<0.01), but having a negative correlated between SOCS3and TNF-α (r=-0.472, P<0.01).Conclusions: In ICP, an increase of type1cytokine (TNF-α) associated with a decreaseof type2cytokine (IL-10) and the decreased production of the SOCS3may reduce thesecretion of IL-10. SOCS3may participate the pathogenesy of ICP through affecting theTh1/Th2cytokine balance. |
