To observe the correlation between the carotid artery plaqueand plasma homocysteine levels in patients with cerebral infarction andto explore their relationships with the occurrence of cerebralinfarction. Methods: To choice60patients with hyperhomocysteine forexperimental groups and60patients normal homocysteine for controlgroups with cerebral infarction in our hospital from January2009toJanuary2012.1.Undergo cerebral and carotid CTA examination by16-slice spiral CTmade by Simens in Germany. the scan range started from arcus aortac tothe end of skull base. the contrast medium used was Ioversol of70~80ml,injected by cubital vein or hand vein. The concentratins of the contrastmedium was320mgI/ml and the rate of injection was3.2ml/s~3.8ml/s. Thescan parameters: tube voltage was100Kv or120Kv,the tube current was400mA, the matrix was512X512,and the thickness was16X0.75mm, pitch was1.15:1.The raw images were transferred to the workstation andpost-processed with VRã€MIPã€CPR and MPR. the image analysis was dealedby two experienced rdiologists. The data processing and statisticsanalysis were deal with SPSS13.0software.2.All patients were drawed5ml vein bloods in the next morning afterhospital and added to anticoagulant tube. Full centrifugal for15min(3000r/min) and isolated the plasma. measure the level of plasmahomocysteine by enzymatic cycling assay with Japan’s OLYMPUS AU5400 automatic biochemical analyzer and its supporting test kit. To observethe relationship of carotid artery plaques with the level of plasmahomocysteine.Result:1. The amount of plaque in the observe group is significantly higherthan that in the control group(P<0.05).2. The type of plaque is mainly mixture plaque in the observe group.Bycomparison, the observe group is significantly higher than that in thecontrol group(P<0.05).3.The surface of plaque is mainly uneven surface in the observe group,By comparison, the observe group is significantly higher than that in thecontrol group(P<0.05).4. But the relationship with the vessel wall are not significantlyhigher than that in the control group (P>0.05).Conclusion:The level of homocysteine and the type of plaqueã€the amount of plaqueã€the smooth degree of plaque surface are closely related. We can grasp the type of plaqueã€the amount of plaque and the smoothdegree of plaque surface by CTA examination and combine the level ofhomocysteine, which are of great importance in the prevention and theearlier diagnosis of the cerebral infarction. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | cerebral infarction, carotid artery plaque, CTA, homocysteine | | Related items |
