Combine Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine In The Treatment Of Traumatic Optic Nerve Injury

Objective:To observe the curative effects of combination of Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of traumatic optic nerve injury.Try to explore an effective way for the treatment of traumatic optic nerve injury.Methods:The study selected31patients,34eyes,in accordance with the principle of divided randomly into two groups, with the sequence of diagnose,one is treatment group,anotheris control group,The control group:give patients decoction for restoration modified、corticosteroids and neurotrophic agent:treatment group:give patients corticosteroids and neurotrophic agent.As the main observation indexes in visual acuity, FV, VEP and TCM symptoms integral, were compared of between before the therapy and after the therapy.Results:After15days treatment, the integral of TCM symptoms and signs of two groups were significantly lower than that before treatment, The treatment group was7.33±3.69, control group was11.36±3.52, The two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05). Comparison of the visual effect of the two groups after treatment, the total effective rate of treatment group was88.89%, control group, the total efficiency of75%, The two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Two groups of MS has been increased than before treatment (P＜0.05),The treatment group was20.56±7.1,control group was18.82±5.22,but the two groups had no statistical significance(P＞0.05).The comparison of the MD of the two groups there was a decline after treatment, the treatment group was-8.76±8.18,the control group was-12.35±6.59,the two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Two sets of P1-00amplitude has been rised by (P＜0.05),The treatment group was7.14±2.95,the control group was6.33±2.06,but the two groups had no statistical significance (P＞0.05).The two sets of P-100wave latency of VEP has been shorten (P＜0.05), the treatment group was109.93±8.09,he control group was119.32±16.26,The two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Comparison of the total effect of the two groups were treatment group83.33%,control group56.52%,comparison with significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Combine traditional chinese and western medicine have good curative affection to traumatic optic nerve injury.It could impmved patient’s visual and clinical symptoms,make the patient’s MS enhanced and reduction of visual field defects and improve the quality of life of patients. Cut down the latent period,increase VEP the Vibration frequency,even restore the optic nerve conduction function.In treating TON with combination of Chinese and Western medicine comprehensive therapy is more effective than simple application of Western medicine.It can be regarded as an effective recipe for curation of TON with Qi stagnation and blood stasis evidence.
