Objective:Discuss the clinical characteristic and treatment of refractory of acute myelocytic leukemia start with chloroma. Methods:Review a case report of refractory of acute myelocytic leukemia and the literature. Design:A case report. Case:The patient went to our hospital in March07,2011because of an eye trauma leading the left eye swelling and eyelid ptosis for a month. Physical examination shows that skin and mucous of the whole body are pale, the left eyelid ptosis, the left eye can not look up, and a tumor behind the left eye. The character of this tumor is stiffness, and mobility is not very well. The patient also felt sternal tenderness. And blood routine examination show that all kinds of blood cells are decreased. Intervention:Gave each three times the chemical therapy for inducing and strengthening, and gave the treatment for anti-infection, anemia, controlling the bleeding and nutrition support at the same time. Results:on the third time for strengthening therapy, the patient turned up granulopenia, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hemorrhage of digestive tract, septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, and dead in October8,2011. Conclusions:For the refractory of acute myelocytic leukemia, the multidrug resistance always been an obstacle to treatment of leukemia, and also make it reappear after cure. To begin with, nowadays the scholars proposal the way to cure the refractory of acute myelocytic leukemia is unite multiple drugs of non-resistance for chemical therapy. Last but not least, hematopoietic cell transplatation also plays an important role for changing over the resistance of leukemia and remitting the patient’s condition.
