Objective:To evaluate the accuracy of a new quantitative measurementtechnology via combined PC-cine MR and3D TOF MRA, and to analysis theblood flow velocity and distribution on different part of cerebral arteriesaffiliated to Circle of Willis in normal human. Methods:From July2012to December2012, a total of fifty sevenhealthy volunteers were examined in this study. Their ages ranged from30to75years old,and average age is51.96years. A total of337vessels wereviewed. All of them should be examined with3D-TOF to show the detailinformation of target vessels and to locate for Phase-Contrast examination. The data transfer to GE ADW4.2workstation,process these data by usingfunction tool. With MR Phase-Contrast quantitative measurement technique toattain the blood flow instantaneous flow velocity information on interestvessel, for example, bilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA),bilateral anteriorcerebral artery (ACA) and bilateral posterior cerebral artery (PCA),then tocalculate the maximum flow velocity(Vs),mean flow velocity (Vm)and therespective percentage of blood flow in a cardiac cycle. After ADW4.2Function tool processing workstation and SPSS13.0statistical softwareunivariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) for analysis. Results: Left and right side of the MCA Vs are55.5±10.0cm/s,50.2±6.5cm/s, left and right ACA’s Vs respectively52.2±15.9cm/s47.4±16.0cm/s, left and right side of the PCA Vs respectively47.7±6.2cm/s,47.7±9.9cm/s. The mean velocity of the right MCA were44.0±7.7cm/s39.5±6.0cm/s, left and right ACA mean velocity were41.8±9.5cm/s38.6±9.4cm/s,and the mean velocity of PCA were38.6±6.1cm/s,38.8±7.9cm/ s. MCA, ACA the PCA’s left and right side of the Vs, Vm were no significantdifference (P>0.01). Respective percentage for the MCA, ACA, PCA,respectively,47.6%±7%,26.6%±6%,25.6%±4%, prompted intracranialblood flow were mainly suppled by MCA, ACA and PCA blood supply isnearly equal. Conclusion:A quantitative analysis for intracranial blood flow was madethrough multi-modal technology, and attain the Vs and Vm of each vessel ofthe cerebral artery.which provide normal inference value for the blood’sdynamic changes in diseases. The percentages make out the blood flowdistribution. Objective:To analysis the different blood flow relationship between theoccurrence of unilateral MCA disease Patients and normal blood flowtraveling curve. Methods:Collect unilateral middle cerebral artery lesions of53patients,age30-77years, a total of241blood vessels, the same way as the first part, itis divided into seven groups, the first group of the left middle cerebral arteryocclusion,7cases; second group of the right middle cerebral artery occlusion,10cases, the third group of the left middle cerebral artery stenosis more than50%and stroke symptoms,13cases; fourth group of the right middle cerebralartery stenosis of50%or more stroke symptoms, eight cases; fifth group ofthe remaining trunk of the left middle cerebral artery,7cases; sixth group forthe remaining trunk of the right middle cerebral artery, eight cases; Theseventh group of normal subjects,57patients.Results:The peak flow rate of each lesion group is compared with thenormal group, no significant change in the peak velocity of the contralateral MCA,ipsilateral ACA’s and the PCA’s peak velocity and average velocity areaccelerated, while PCA has more increasing compared to ACA.The Vs andVm of contralateral ACA and PCA have no statistically significant differenceamong the three condition(P>0.05); side of MCA stenosis group, stenosis atpeak flow rate, average flow rate are reduced (P <0.05).The peak velocity andaverage flow rate are also lower (P<0.05). Bilateral ACA,PCA flow rateincrease has no obvious difference;Unilateral MCA remaining trunk group, the bilateral MCA, ACA, PCA peak velocity have no obvious decline, but theaverage flow rate decreased (P <0.05).To compare the percentage, between thefirst and second groups whose unilateral MCA is occlusion, the percentage ofthe ipsilateral ACA and PCA is ascending except the contralateral ones.TheThird groups and the fourth group whose unilateral MCA stenosis, theipsilateral MCA share of blood flow reduction, the same as to in thecontralateral; The fifth and sixth groups of MCA remaining main trunkartery, the bilateral of MCA, ACA, PCA peak velocity has no significantdecline, but the average velocity are decreased (P <0.05).Conclusion:The changes of Vs and Vm can be found among unilateralMCA stenosis or occlusion. The occurrence of unilateral MCA lesions varyaround compensatory collateral circulation, when MCA is stenosis, onobvious collateral circulation can be viewed. All that cases, the blood flow ofACA and PCA will increase, but the PCA increased mainly which consideredas the main artery. When trunk remains, any changes will be viewed.
