Emphasizing different aspects, many scholars have carried out researches on "you"-sentence in their massive grammatical works. But few works have comprehensively analyzed "you"-sentence and its English comparative expression. This thesis chooses "Jinghuayanyun" (Chinese version; original author, Lin Yutang; original version, "Moment in Peking") as the study text, which includes various types of "you"-sentence and some idioms or sayings about "you". Making the comparative study about "you"-sentence, this thesis can extend the comparative research results.This thesis makes exhaustive search about "you"-sentence and compares to the English expression. With modern linguistic theory as its reference, this thesis analyzes all kinds of "you"-sentence in pattern system, grammatical sense and pragmatics these three aspects and tries to find out grammatical features of different Chinese "you"-sentence and the features and corresponding regularity in the English expression. It may provide some methods to learn this sentence and also can help Chinese and English learners effectively.This thesis includes six chapters:the first chapter introduces the value and the present situation of this research, the theoretical sources and research methods and process; the second chapter makes comparative study about the pattern system based on simple classification of "you"-sentence; the third chapter analyzes the grammatical sense of "you"-sentence and its English expression; the chapter 4 is about the pragmatic features of Chinese "you"-sentence and English corresponding expression; the fifth chapter discusses some idioms or sayings with "you" and their English expressing features; the sixth chapter generalizes the whole thesis and draws the conclusion.
