In this thesis, firstly I concisely and completely sketched out the pattern system of sentences with "YOU". I divided the whole pattern system into two parts. One is the simple sentence with "YOU", the other is the complicated one. After that, I made a more subtle division of the pattern system according to the part of speech behind "YOU". Through the summary of sentences with "YOU" in ancient Chinese, the developing law of its pattern system has been discovered vertically.Secondly, I analyze the meanings of sentences with "YOU" on the base of its pattern system. I not only merged but also divided and expanded the sentence meanings. In my opinion, there are totally 12 meanings of "YOU". At the same time, I found out the way to distinguish some confusing meanings of sentences with "YOU".From the third chapter on, I explained some details about sentences with "YOU". I found out the requirements that made the phrases of noun, verb or verbal phrase and adjective or adjective phrases to be used in the sentences with "YOU". The study of the succeeding parts in sentences with "YOU" had a great practical value. It would help the speakers to speak out the correct sentences.If we regard "YOU" in the comparative sentences with "YOU" as a verb, the form doesn't correspond to the meaning. So I think "YOU" in the comparing sentences with "YOU" is no longer a verb. It has become a preposition.In the fifth chapter, I used a series of linguistic theories to look for the phenomenon of the same structure but different nature, which exits in the "A + ( YOU + ( B ) + Vp)".Finally, I based on the pragmatics to divide the sentences with "YOU". And also I describe the distribution of the sentences with "YOU" in different literary forms. I analyze the pragmatic value of the comparative sentences with "YOU".
