Study On The Literary Thought Of Nanying Ai

Nanying Ai, from Linchuan, Jiangxi, was an influential historical person in the MingDynasty all over the country. Having been active in the literary circle, he was not only afamous essayist but also an eight-part essay master. Therefore, it is unavoidable to refer tothe influence and contribution of Nanying Ai when studying on the literature trend at theend of the Ming Dynasty. Through the study on Nanying Ai himself and the background ofliterature trend at that times when Nanying Ai was in, and taking the arguments among theYuzhang Society, Fu Society and Ji Society as the cutting point, this paper proposes to takethe Nanying Ai and his literary thoughts as the object of study, exploring the subjective andobjective reasons for the literary thoughts from Nanying Ai, elaborating the mainviewpoints of his literary thoughts, and emphasizing to explore the continuous relationshipbetween the value of the literary thoughts of Nanying Ai and that of Tongcheng School inthe Qing Dynasty, so as to discuss and explicate the connection between them and whatlatter one succeeded and made the appropriated adaption from the viewpoints of theliterary thoughts of Nanying Ai.
