Study On The Idioms Of Inlaying-number-in-even-place

Idiom is the essence of Chinese, the goodness of Chinese words after long-term inspection. This article studies idioms of inlaying-number-in-even-place “X Number1Y Number2”(which means the second and fourth character of the four-character style idiom are numerals, for example, shuo yi bu er, shuo san dao si,cheng qian shang wan, etc.) from multiple angles.Chapter One analyzes number collocation forms of idioms of inlaying-number-in-even-place from Number1and Number2. There are various collocation formsfor Number1and Number2, the combination ability is strong or weak.Chapter Two investigates the notional word-in-odd-place X and Y of idiomsof inlaying-number-in-even-place, discusses part of speech, semantic relationsof X and Y, discovers that the collocation forms of part of speech are various,and summarizes that semantic relations of X and Y can be divided into similar, related, contrary, and same.Chapter Three studies structural and semantic relations of idioms of inlaying-number-in-even-place in four-character style, analyzes and summarizes the corresponding types and categories of structural and semantic relations.Chapter Four investigates the syntactic functions of idioms of inlaying-number-in-even-place. The external syntactic functions of idioms of inlaying-number-in-even-place are flexible and complex, the following statuses are analyzed respectively when the idiom is used as subject, predicate (center), object (center), attributive, adverbial, complement and clause.Chapter Five discusses the formation and pragmatic mechanism from characteristics of number-in-even-place. There is a summary that inlaying-number-in-even-place derives from rhythm through an analysis on feet and information core.Chapter Six is the conclusion. It concludes the research content of the thesis,and points out the shortcomings.
