There are two base ways for teaching Chinese: classroom teaching and one-to-oneteaching. They are not contradictory, but complementary to each other.Classroom teaching is respected and valued all the time by its scale, discipline andmanagement. But contrary the one-to-one teaching has not much focus and research. Actuallyone-to-one teaching also has its own advantage, such as individualization, flexibility and moresuit to the different students for their different needs.Based on one-to-one teaching characteristic and regularity, I hope this paper can guideand inspire, to improve the teaching quality and achieve better teaching effect.This paper is divided into six chapters, mainly covers the following contents:The first chapter is introduction. It introduces the research origin, the researchsignificance, the research object research present situation, the research value, the innovation,the proposed method, and the related terms and theories.The second chapter is the current status and development of Chinese as a foreignlanguage. It includes the school classroom teaching, classroom teaching plus extracurricularcounselling, and one-to-on teaching. It mainly introduces the background, conditions,characteristics and problems of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The third chapter is the main part of the paper. It bases the real example of the author, toanalysis the advantages and disadvantages of one-to-one teaching.The fourth chapter analysis the role of students and teachers in one-to-one teaching.The fifth chapter is the social environment for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The author used survey data cited the current foreign language professional status, studentsand teachers problems and ideas, to put forward a teaching difficulties and conclusion.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.
