Gaining the skill of speaking a second language is the main purpose of this oral Chinese course, for that a good spoken language teaching material of Chinese spoken language is particularly important. The Conversational Chinese 301(I) as primary spoken Chinese textbooks,published since 1990, successively after three revision, widely used, has a far-reaching influence both at home and abroad, and it’s the primary spoken language teaching material of classical Chinese as a foreign language.The Conversational Chinese 301(I) as the main object of article analysis, combined with teaching practice, the writer summarizes emphatically the advantages of the teaching materials.Based on the advantages of the teaching materials, We can highlight the advantages of this particular teaching material, and can provide guidelines for better use of this material. This paper sums up the advantages of this teaching material at the same time, also try to point out some of the shortcomings, and provides some useful suggestions for the further revision of the textbooks or future new spoken language teaching material compilation. This thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction, a brief introduction to the topic and the reason for selecting the topic, the research status and research methods. The second part mainly summarizes the advantages of Conversational Chinese 301(I). Communicative functions in this section, points project, session, character name, learning new words, sentences, session, after-school practice deep discusses six aspects, such as using the method of data statistics and transverse comparison,highlight the textbook in the design concept and innovation of the materials used, etc. The third part is about the problems of using Conversational Chinese 301(I) are briefly enumerated. The author with his little story happened in the process of practice as an example, points out the textbook some deficiencies, mainly including cultural factors improper handling, lack rigour of individual conversations, grammar choreography flawed, excellent teaching material compilation is not enough, and so on. The fourth part is to revise teaching material and some suggestions to improve the teaching material in the future. According to the author’s personal experience as well as the feedback of the students in the process of using the Conversational Chinese 301(I),author put forward suggestions for improvement. The fifth part is the conclusion part, mainly summarizes the thesis.
