“Hot cognition” is the social cognition psychology research hotspot now. Therelationship problem between emotion and cognition has undergone a long argument.The social cognitive psychologists pay more attention to one of the most importantaspect about relationship among self, cognitive and emotional. According toHiggins’s self discrepancy theory, The high levels of self discrepancy high levels ofindividual and specific negative emotions exist corresponding relationship. Inaddition, Beck’s self schema theory also made clear that the individul who has anegative emotional cognitive processing schema is negative,and this schema maycause negative effects on individual cognitive processing and self relevantinformation. But the empirical researches existed some shortage for the selfdifferences in the level of cognitive processing bias effect of self. Frist of all, thestudy based on self-discrepancy theory and self schema theory and related researchresults foundation, through cognitive processing experimental paradigm, discussingeffects on the self differences level for self cognitive processing of the adolescent.Secondly, On self cognitive processing bias and emotional research, Especially onattentional bias study shows that highly anxious individuals bias for negativeinformation processing in the information processing, exsiting mood consistencyeffect. Markus’s self schema theory also thought that individuals whohave negativebias to negative information in cognitive processing, so Self schema will affect thecourse of self cognitive processing. Wang Lei et al think that self discrepancy is as anemotional cognitive structure. According to the inference, high self-discrepant levelTeenagers should be exsit self cognitive processing bias in the attention stagepresence. Therefore, This study further examines the different self differences in thelevel of teenagers in self cognition process in the existence of an attentional bias,And inherent reasons of this attentional bias.The research results show that:(1) Self differences level of teenagers exist infulence on the individual selfcognitive processing speed and self description tendency.(2) High self differences teenagers exsit attentional bias in cognitive processingattention stage presence, compared to neutral information and the positiveinformation, High self differences teenagers more prone to generatingattentional bias in negative information(3) The inherent reasons for high self differences teenagers on the negative self characteristics information in the presence of attentional bias is negativeinformation on attention to relieve the difficulty, rather than attentionalvigilance.
