Communication function is the fundamental function of language, from practicaland purpose to see, the spoken language has a particularly important position.Teaching material is teaching the basis, is the foundation of all teaching activities. Atpresent, although intermediate spoken language teaching material and the writing ofthe attention, but as a whole, there are still many problems. This needs us through theanalysis and research of the text to probe the arrangement more optimal program.We chose the three sets of widely used, high quality, and write committee of theintermediate spoken language teaching material more authority set up to the analysisof the text corpus, the article discusses the three sets of teaching material in theaspects of the shortcomings of the existing, and points out that the selected text inthese aspects of matters should be paid attention to, and puts forward someSuggestions for improvement.On this basis, the article of the three sets of intermediate spoken languageteaching material of the different characteristics were analyzed and discussed, andproposed to the future intermediate spoken language teaching material the text writingsome proposals: one, the text of the genre to diversity, but should be in everydaydialogue as the main body; Second, the text subject should be as rich, but should bewith daily life and interpersonal kind of theme for the Lord; Three, the language ofthe text should accord with "say of oral English" the request, express to regulate; Four,the text selection should pay attention to The Times, let the text can show the currentsocial real style; Five, the text should carry forward the positive, healthy and positiveculture, on the one hand, to pay attention to the differences between the eastern andwestern culture, on the other hand want to spread the correct, mainstream culture; Six,the length of the text and sentence length to control in an appropriate range.
