| Fragmentation language is a new form of artistic expression. It started in the postmodernismfilms and televisions programs or the films and televisions programs with postmoderncharacteristics. A film and television sentence, which was combined by one or several clips, wasinserted within a complete narration scene. Thus the original narration scene which was completewas broken and audience’s obtain of plot information of was blocked temporally. Another way torealize fragmentation is to disorganize the arrangement of scenes and rearrange them into anothernew paragraph. Fragmentation language emerges as a result of the interaction of the psychologicalfactors that influence the visual acceptance of modern audience and the means of artisticexpression. With the increase of audience’s experience of film watching, their aesthetic alsoappreciation increased. As a result, the directors of film and TV programs need to make innovationon expression form so as to satisfy the audience’s viewing psychology of seeking change andinvolvement.Scene is the basic unit of narration. The plot starts from a scene, reaches climax at one orseveral scenes and ends in one scene. All narration elements are located in scenes. All narrationtechniques are fully utilized in one or several scenes.The use of fragmental shots amplified the means of artistic expression in films and TVprograms and produced new aesthetic objects. It brakes through many restricted area of previousartistic expression forms and looks like a mental puzzle game. After watching this kind of film orTV program, the audiences has an massy impression which requires the audiences to rearrange thefragmental clips in a new way, so as to understand the development of the story and obtain acomplete narration appearance.Nowadays, the use of fragmentation language is becoming more and more common. It notonly obtained the approval and favor of audience, but also promoted the variances of the means ofartistic expression in films and TV programs. So what is the difference and similarity betweenfragmentation language and traditional montage? What kind of Lens group access mechanismdoes the fragmentation language have? What ideographic function does it have? All thesequestions are concerned about the creation of film and TV program. They are the focus of thisresearch.Under the guidance of relevant theories about literary psychology, film and televisionlinguistics, film and television narration, communication, audience psychology and receptiveesthetics. This paper intends to start from the perspective of film and TV program creation andmake a detailed analysis and interpretation of the fragmentation language in narration scene. Thispaper intends to explore the artistic expression mechanism of fragmentation language in films andTV programs, so as to make a contribution of offering a feasibility theory for film and televisioncreation. The present study includes the following there parts.1. Fragmental shots in narrative scene. This paper firstly summarized the relationshipbetween narrative scene and fragmentation language. The literary psychology foundation of fragmentation language was also summarized that it combined the subjective psychologicalexpression of actors and the objective accumulation of audience so as to realize its artisticexpression on the mental reality. At the same time, this paper investigated the historical clues offragmentation language and found that it developed from implication montage and otherideographic montages, flashback, imagination and other expressions characterized with stream ofconsciousness. This paper also made a detailed comparison and analysis between fragmentationlanguage and traditional montages.2. The artistic expression of fragmentation language. Based on the films and TV programs inrecent years, the author summarized four lens structures of fragmental shots as following, in sameplace at the same time, in similar place at different time,“Time Zeroâ€previous scene and laterscene, mental time and space with no relevance of time and space. Then the author analyzed howfragmental shots influence the whole scene structure design with its“advantage of illustration ofmental activitiesâ€. The author summarized five functions of expressing meanings which includingdescription of mental changes, construction of Calling Structure, implication of narration direction,exaggeration of the actor’s emotion, and construction of dramatic effect.3. Fragmentation of narration and contemporary cultural trend of thought. The followingthere perspectives, postmodern ism cultural trend of thought and public film and TV programs,fragmentation culture in media era, and fragmental esthetic experience of audience, wereconsidered in the analysis of the social background and historical origin of fragmentation language,as well as the social psychology foundation for its favor and love among audience. |
