Phonetic Comparision Between Guangyun And Daguangyihuiyupian

Daguangyihuiyupian is a word book rebuilted by Chen Pengnian in SongDynasty from Yupian. It has played a very important role Since the advent of starting,often be as important materials by scholars for calibration of voice and meaning ofancient books. The research to Daguangyihuiyupian by future generations is much,but mainly concentrated in the collation, version, style, and characters. It is generallybelieved that it has no research value in phonology because it’s rhymes is the samewith Guangyun, so only a few scholars spent time to research it from the way ofphonology, so far, the achievements is only the Yupianfanqiekao written by WangGuinian in1935and a doctorate papers named The Study of Rhymes in the U-pian byYang suzi in Taiwan’s National Sun Yat-sen university. They all used Fanqiexilianfaof Chen Li to obtaine Shenglei and Yunlei of Daguangyihuiyupian.As two contemporary dictionary, Daguangyihuiyupian and Guangyun iscollectively referred to as "pianyun" is, they are considered to be complementary toeach other. In this paper, the way of fanqie comparation is used to contrast the rhymesof two books.Because time and energy is limited, only the shangpingsheng ofGuangyun is be comparisd. Contrast to results validate the rationality of "pianyun"said. Found by further analysis of both voice at Daguangyihuiyupian articles have alot of voice confluence phenomenon, which provides more information to explore theactual voice, but also enhance its value in phonology.This paper have more than60,000words,divided in to four parts:The first chapter is the introduction section, describes the nature,style, and theversion circulated of the two books,summarys of previous fanqie researchs of thesetwo books, discusses the significance of research, innstitute of materials and researchmethods.The second chapter is fanqie comparation of the two books.It main have aclassification comparison of the number and proportion of the same and differentpronunciation of the two books. There in a overall grasp of similarities and differences of the voice of the two books. The same fanqie accounted for90%of thetwo books,the rhymes of these two books is basically the same.The third and forth chapters is contrast analysis of the different fanqies of initialsand finals.Analysis the voice phenomenon reflected by different fanqies. We foundthat in the initial consonant, Daguangyihuiyupian made a great improvement toLeigeqie in labial initials of Guangyun, labial initials showing a more obvious trend ofdifferentiation.In dental sound, part of Zhuang group words“莊組字”and Jing groupwords“精組字”is mixed, Zhuang group words“莊組字”is also mixed with Zhi groupwords“知组字”and Zhang group words “章組字”, showing the confluence of trends.In addition, initial Xia“匣母”,initial Yusan“喻三”and initial Yusi“喻四”is threeseparate initial consonant. In the final consonant, there in more or less mixture indifferent rhymes, some rhyme has been merged, such as “五支”“六脂”and“七之”,“十七真”and“十九臻”,“二十五�'”and“二十六桓”. Though the number of mixture ofother rhyme is not enough, but has demonstrated a trend of incorporation of therhyme.Were compared only on the Shangpingsheng, resulting in a few examples ofsome voice phenomenon, but it is not difficult to find some voice law. Basically it canbe concluded that the fanqie phonetic in Daguangyihuiyupian is influented by theactual voice, to some extent, reflects the actual change of voice. Through thiscomparison,we can deduce that the two rhyem system is basically the same,Daguangyihuiyupian is closer to the actual voice.
