It is clear that Indian and Pakistani students' pronuncation of initials and finals have a lot of problems in the primary stage of Chinese learning,which is mainly caused by the negative transfer of their native language pronunciation of initials and finals.To avoid these mistakes,not only do the Chinese teachers have to know the differences between Chinese,Hindi and Urdu in consonants and vowels,but also need to adjust teaching and practice methods according to the different situations,so that Indian and Pakistani students are well able to understand the differences between Chinese and their mother tongue.First,this thesis,compares the similarities and differences between Chinese,Hindi and Urdu in the two aspects of consonants and vowels,and has found the difficulties the Indian and Pakistani students may have in Chinese learning;In addition what has been mentioned above,it also has collected the students' voices;counted the pronunciation mistakes;and has analysed what caused this.Finally,using aspectrogram to obtain the sound frequencies of students' wrong pronunciation of Chinese.This thesis has compared the sound frequencies with Chinese Mandarin spoken by Chinese people so that we can find out the differences between Indian and Pakistani students' pronunciation in Chinese learning and pronunciation of Chinese Mandarin.In the end,I will suggest some personal teaching techniques and strategies for students according to the Indian and Pakistani students' pronunciation problems of initials and finals.
