Jean Paul Sartre was born in1905, died in1980, he is one of the most importantphilosophers of the20th century in France, also one of the most active advocates ofsocialism in western, he refused to accept any reward all his life, including NobelPrize for Literature in1964. But more often Sartre is identified as an existentialistphilosophy researcher in our sight. In early1940s, Sartre present his own existentialist philosophy. In thatmoment,European country was suffering from Germany and was going to liberated.Sartre’s existentialist philosophy established, it was adapted the thirst to abstractfreedom for many bourgeois intellectuals, and thus all the rage. In the10years afterthe war, its influence is felt throughout intelligentsia in the Western country. The basicproposition of Sartre’s existentialist philosophy is existence precedes essence, that isalso the main reason of people and animals have fundamental distinction, human bornin this world firstly, and create their own essence through their own choosingactivities. So we can find that Sartre’s existentialist philosophy pay great attention topeople, people is a starting point among the search of Sartre, but people there areoften abstract individuals. The second World War broke, Sartre joined the army to fight fascism voluntarily, unfortunately, Sartre became prisoner of the war. but he still engaged in the study ofphilosophy even in harsh conditions. In1943, Sartre published a philosophicalmasterpiece in the existential philosophy field——《existance and nothingness》, andhe is famous in philosophy field.During the year of1950-1960, Sartre’s ideological trajectory has graduallychange into the direction of Marxism. In Sartre’s opinion, Marxism is still young andvigorous, and never to be surpassed, because of its historical conditions have not been exceeded, but the development of Marxism was just stagnation, it needs to developand update. The reason of the stagnated of Marxism is the thoughts of repelling tohuman, if the problem can’t be solve, the Marxism would to be a incorrect philosophy.Sartre thought that it is necessary to aid the thought of human being into Marxism. For this reason, Sartre constructed existential Marxism, try to supply Marxism withexistentialism, in fact there is a significantly internal contradictory when the twotheories combined. The theoretical basis of my paper is the basic philosophy points of Sartre, searchon Existential Marxism that Sartre buids. This is an important genre of WesternMarxism. That caused a sensational concern in the history of Western philosophy.Because oft the opposition between internal theory of Sartre and Marxist theory wealways adhered, and ultimately escape the trial of the times. The first part of my paper described the existentialist philosophy of Sartre, thatis also the theoretical basis and ideological source of Existential Marxism of Sartre. The second part of my paper described the main content of Sartre’s existentialMarxism, that make us understand the differences between Sartre’s ExistentialMarxism and real Marxism. for the later Sartre’s existentialism Marx theoreticalreflection pave the way for Tim stone. The third part of my paper reflects on thetheory of Sartre’s existential Marxism, expounds the contrastion to Marxism, amongthe reflection we can also find that Existential Marxism of Sartre have contemporaryvalue and significance. The signifitance of Sartre’s existentialism Marxism was significantly, butextreme. To uphold and develop the theory of Marxism, we shuoud avoid the negativepart of the existential Marxism when we insist and develop the theory of Marxism, inorder to advance the process of Marxism Chinization.
