The whole world has already had more than100nations, about3500highschools and primary and junior high school to set up Chinese language lessoncurrently, the stirring of interest in Chinese study has just been unfolding. Accordingto statistics, there has been over4000people coming from abroad studying Chinese.With the development of Chinese International Dissemination, the number of Chineselearner is increasing rapidly, according to their needs, teaching materials are enrichingand updating, Chinese teachers then are becoming more and more insufficient.Therefore, cyber education of Chinese emerged as required and developes with fastspeed. Nowadays, many Chinese Training Institutions are making use of network toteach Chinese, systematic theoretical research on it is becoming utmost imminent.Though there are a great needs for Chinese teachers in our overseas educationservices and there has been a fine picture of our Confucius Institutes establishedthroughout the world, we still should not be overoptimistic about it. The global basisof Chinese teaching and learning is weak and there are still many problems waitingfor solutions, among which the most prominent is the "Three Ts" problems: Teachersinsufficient, Teaching materials lack of specialty, Teaching approaches unadaptable.How to build faculty team with good quality and establish a well-run teaching systemremains a hard nut to crack. Well, the advantage of cyber education itself makes it thebest way to solve the problem. Different from realistic education, the platform ofcyber education is established on Internet—a virtual space with vast audience. If wecan take advantage of it and integrate realistic Chinese International Disseminationwork with network education, the "Three Ts" problem can be settled by making gooduse of its advantages and bypass its disadvantages, thus smoothing the developmentand promotion of the career of Chinese International Dissemination.Chapter One is the Preface, which introduces the research background, approaches and contents. This part first points out the elements that may affectChinese International Dissemination, such as construction, teaching methods, andteaching focus, etc. of the web-site building, and then describes current situation ofChinese international dissemination and pointing out the weak point of it as well. Last,it makes summaries on the characteristics of cyber education and the types of ChineseTeaching Web-site (how to conduct teaching on the Internet in aspects of ChineseCharacters, Phonetics, Grammar, Listening, Writing, Reading and Culture), as wellas the innovation and insufficiency of this paper.Chapter Two is Literature Review of Chinese International Disseminationdevelopment. First, it focuses on the situation and characteristics of its development,and secondly, compares the differences between Chinese international education andChinese International Dissemination, then lists the achievements of Chineseinternational dissemination, and at last summarizing significant achievements ofcurrent Chinese international dissemination in six aspects with regards to currentsituation of Chinese language craze in neighboring countries and the great need ofChinese teaching in Euro-America countries.Chapter Three is the main part of the paper. First, it analyzes the advantage ofcyber education of Chinese International Dissemination and elaborates the necessityof intensifying it. Secondly, it makes analyses on the unfavorable factors of cybereducation—faculty deficiency and territorial limitation which hinder the developmentof cyber education, and strengthenes the immediacy of making study on it. Besides, itsummarizes the type and characteristics of Chinese International Disseminationwebsites and the common features of representative Chinese teaching websites, thenprovides detailed illustration by using featured website as examples, and analysesexisting problems in the promotion of cyber education of Chinese InternationalDissemination.Chapter four is about curriculum researches on Chinese cyber education, whichincludes cyber teaching in Chinese characters, phonetics, grammar, writing, listening,reading and culture.Chapter five are some advices to Chinese cyber education, as how to constructinteractive teaching environment online as well as offline, improve Chinese proficiency of native Chinese teachers(especially that of Chinese teachers enhancingfaculty construction), integrate various high-qualified Internet resources, promoteChinese via miscellaneous approaches, and create Chinese cultural environment, etc.Chapter Six is the last part of the paper. It points out that Chinese InternationalDissemination is a long and heavy task to undertake. Cyber Education is the methodof dissemination. Anyone that establishes network teaching or teaches in networkshould first cultivated themselves in Chinese culture and theory so that can they buildup outstanding web-site with specialty in Chinese education and advanced technologyof network teaching, contributing to the career of Chinese InternationalDissemination.
