Existential sentence is one of the special verb predicate structures in Chinesegrammar. However compared to other special verb predicate structures, there areonly few error analysis studies on Korean learners’ acquisition of the Chinese“Vzhe”existential sentence structure. It may be that the errors occurred in Chineseexistential sentence structure are not considered to be such a serious error, additionally the error doesn’t occur that often, so the error analysis in this areadoesn’t seem to be such an important topic. But it does not mean that the existentialsentence was not important or that it would be very easy to learn. Advancedresearch on Korean learners’ acquisition of Chinese “Vzhe” existential sentencecame to the common conclusion: for Korean students, Chinese existential sentencestructure is difficult to learn; especially the “Vzhe” is very difficult to learn. This studywill illustrate the error patterns of Korean learners as the result of a Survey, willanalyze the cause of error, and suggest several teaching strategies. Furthermore, the survey will provide the answers for the following two questions:1. Do KoreanChinese learners in China learn the “Vzhe”existential sentence more easily thanKorean Chinese learners in Korea?2. What effect do formal university educationtraining and Professional teachers have on Korean learners’ acquisition of Chinese“Vzhe”existential sentence? In order to find the answers to these two questions, theparticipants of the survey are divided into three groups. The first group consists ofstudents who are trained at a formal university in China. The second group is madeup of students who are learning Chinese in Korea and who have never been trainedin China. The third group consists of Koreans who are working in China, but who hasnot had an opportunity to get trained at a formal university in China. This is one ofthe characteristics of this study. I hope this study will help in the following three areas:in writing a textbook, in teaching strategies, and in Korean learners’ acquisition ofChinese “Vzhe”existential sentence.
