This report on the translation project of The Woman Who Disappeared is based on the theory ofcontext in literature translation. The translator has tried to analyse and sum up the difficultiesand gains in translation. The report states the translator’s experience and gains from the aspectsof dialogue translation, semantic translation, name translation and translation techniques, whichare analysed from both literature reading and the special cases in this translation project.Meanwhile, the translator also presents the difficulties and how to solve them during thetranslation, in hope to help other translators who have the same or similar problems or puzzles intranslating.
